RockSport would like to introduce you to the brave men and women of NMCB 5, a Naval Mobile Construction Battalion currently serving in Afghanistan.
RockSport Patriot Wall featured on Channel 2 News (KTVN Reno) NMCB 5 is one of the Naval Expeditionary Combat Commands warfighting support elements currently deployed to the Helmand Province, Afghanistan providing construction support to area commanders.  RockSport owners, Mark & Doreen Gammon's son, Anthony, is a member of this battalion. In an effort to increase moral as hundreds of fellow service men and women arrive daily to the newly constructed base, Anthony has taken it upon himself to put together some extra curricular activities to fill the little time left of an 81 hour work week.
As members of the climbing community, Mark & Doreen came up with the idea to help them build a wall! Not just any wall, but a climbing and bouldering wall made possible by the generous donations of vendors like you. We are reaching out to our partners in an effort to supply NMCB 5 and all future soldiers arriving to the base with the following supplies for their wall; a selection of holds, t-nuts, ropes, draws, harnesses and shoes. Remember, these products can be seconds, blems, demos, etc. that are currently sitting on your shelf taking up space. What a great way to show your support while gaining publicity and notoriety in the climbing community. We're convinced that your generosity will not go un-noticed. We are not aware of anything like this having been done before and now is your chance to participate in this unique project! We understand that your annual budgets may not have considered a donation like this, but with each of our vendors pitching in with a product donation valued as little as $400 you can help us meet our goals. Your generous donations will be accepted at RockSport where the products will be inventoried and photographed. After designing and mapping out detailed routes incorporating your products, we will package and ship everything to the members of NMCB 5. Photos of the completed project will be supplied to all benefactors for use in any advertising campaigns.
